Piglet and The Police Chief Go Trick or Treating

Happy Hallowe'en Everyone!!! Ella went Trick or Treating at Oma and Papa's house this evening with cousin Matthew. Ella dressed as Piglet and Matthew was a Police Chief (he made his Daddy, who was working, proud). The two babies weren't fond of the either costume but they managed to visit 5 houses. Ella is fast asleep after a night of fun! Mommy and Daddy were so happy to celebrate The Beaners' first Hallowe'en with her.

Musical Moments

Hello is enjoying music class. Mommy captured some pictures of her time at class. Here she is with Jennifer (the instructor) and her boyfriend Michael. Both babies loved to feel the rhythm of the guitar.

Ella: the attentive student

Ella this morning....Unlike the past two weeks, Ella had a good night's sleep last night. We saw the pediatrician yesterday (again!) and she increased Ella's meds so that she gets a nightly dose now too. Ella had a head ultrasound last week and will be getting her iron levels checked next week (her meds affect iron absorption). Yesterday, a tired Mommy brewed a pot of coffee w/o the coffee...she put baby rice cereal in the coffee maker instead!!! Mommy had a good, empathetic conversation w/ Auntie Lisa who is also a tired Mommy dealing w/ a "GERDling" (baby w/ reflux) of her own. Ella seems to be changing every day. She is now sitting up from lying down. She was quite proud of herself this morning when she managed that "trick" again.

A Weekly Update

Daddy has been on holidays this week and Ella has turned into quite the "Daddy's Girl". They've had lots of fun together. Ella is also enjoying a new, heavily padded carpet in our family room.

Oma and Papa came for dinner last night. Ella had fun showing off all the fun she can have on the new carpet.
Today, Ella went outside for some fun - gotta love leg warmers on chubby, little legs.
Ella also seems to love getting into trouble, like turning on the DVD player, opening drawers, or getting into small spaces.

Cookies for Breakfast!

Ella has started to feed herself small pieces of food. Her pincer grasp is developing and she's very keen to pick up pieces of Baby Mum cookies and put them in her mouth. This morning, she enjoyed eating her cookies (along with rice cereal and apple sauce). Bronte was quite happy to eat any dropped pieces of food. Ella seems to be preferring her right hand (too bad for left handed Mommy). She is enjoying her newfound feeding freedom.

This is from Saturday. We were at Uncle John and Aunt Willie's 30th Anniversary party. Ella and Oma read some stories together (Daddy is in the background).

Thursdays are music class days. Ella and her boyfriend Michael enjoy the tunes while their Mommies enjoy each other's company.

Here are other recent pictures of Ella. She's getting so big!!!
